Peter Frattarelli Elected President of Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Burlington and Mercer Counties
Archer partner Peter L. Frattarelli was recently elected President of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Burlington and Mercer Counties, a nonprofit organization and affiliate of the national organization that has been working for decades to provide decent, affordable housing to families. Peter is a longtime Habitat volunteer and Officer of the Board of Directors, most recently serving as Vice President. Over the past nine years, he has used his experience in labor and employment law to provide assistance and guidance to the organization. Peter will serve as President for a two-year term ending on June 30, 2023.
Proudly serving Burlington, Mercer, Atlantic Counties, as well as parts of Middlesex County, the affiliate, where Peter now serves as President, has built numerous houses for families who qualify for a Habitat home based on need, ability to pay the mortgage and willingness to partner with the organization. Habitat for Humanity of Burlington and Mercer Counties is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit housing organization which works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses are then sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor – “sweat equity” – into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses.
Peter is the Chair of Archer’s Labor and Employment Group. His 30 years of experience includes representing management and employers in labor and employment litigation and proceedings, including collective bargaining matters, as well as providing counsel to employers on day-to-day labor and employment matters.
